About CCD Academic Advising · Denver
CCD Academic Advising is a student support service at the Community College of Denver, designed to help students navigate academic pathways, choose majors, plan course schedules, and achieve graduation or transfer goals. Advisors are assigned to students based on their academic pathway and provide personalized guidance throughout their educational journey. Services include in-person and virtual advising, drop-in options for quick questions, and scheduled appointments for in-depth planning. The center also supports students through financial aid, career exploration, and academic success programs like the DSF SEED Program.
CCD Academic Advising serves all students enrolled at the Community College of Denver, offering personalized academic guidance to help them succeed. Advisors assist with major selection, course planning, degree/certificate pathways, and transfer planning. The center operates across multiple campuses — Auraria, Lowry, and Advanced Manufacturing Center — with varying hours and drop-in availability. Students are matched with an advisor based on their academic pathway, and appointments are recommended for complex needs like first-semester planning or career exploration. The center also partners with the Denver Scholarship Foundation to support scholarship recipients through academic and financial counseling. Services are free and available to all CCD students regardless of enrollment status.

How to Prepare Before Seeing an Advisor
Ensure you know how to log into CCD Connect, complete the SOAR Onboarding, use your student ID to schedule an appointment through Navigate360, and review the Academic Advising Syllabus.
Appointments & Drop-In Advising
Appointments are typically scheduled in Navigate360 one to three weeks in advance and offered to students September - December and February - July. Drop-in advising is available for quick 15-minute meetings, but appointments are recommended for in-depth needs.

Campus Locations & Hours
Hours vary by campus and month. Auraria Campus has extended hours in August; Lowry Campus and AMC have limited hours. Drop-ins resume Sept 9, 10:30am–2pm.
