History
According to the Diocese of Brownsville's official timeline and GCatholic, the parish was established in 2005 to serve the growing south Brownsville community near Alton Gloor Boulevard and Expressway 77/83. The Diocese subsequently commissioned a new worship building — designed by Rike-Ogden-Figueroa-Allex Architects Inc. — to give the parish a permanent home. The approximately 7,500-square-foot worship building, consisting of a main sanctuary, work sacristy and restrooms, was registered with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation on May 26, 2011 and passed its final accessibility inspection in February 2012.
