About St.Timothy · Union, Kentucky
St. Timothy Parish is a Catholic community in Union, Kentucky, within the Diocese of Covington. Founded in 1989 from a division of St. Paul Parish in Florence as Boone County grew, the parish takes its patron from Saint Paul's close companion, Saint Timothy. The parish first celebrated Mass on Holy Thursday 1990 in what became its parish center, broke ground on the current church in June 1997 (dedicated September 1998), and now counts more than 1,600 registered families. Its campus includes a church with an adoration chapel and reconciliation room, the Brodnick Hall (named for the founding pastor), a parish center housing a preschool/pre-kindergarten, and the Father Ruschman Garden outreach ministry.

Why belong here
St. Timothy offers a full sacramental and devotional life — daily and weekend Masses, Saturday reconciliation, an adoration chapel, and seasonal Penance Services during Advent and Lent — supported by faith formation for every age, an active youth ministry, an outreach program with a St. Vincent de Paul food pantry and the Father Ruschman Garden, and a parish school that grew from the preschool and kindergarten opened in 2008–2009. With more than 1,600 families and a campus anchored by the church, parish center, rectory, and gathering spaces, the parish is large enough to offer many ministries yet grounded in the small-knit Boone County community it has served since 1989.

Parish History
St. Timothy Parish was founded in January 1989 at the request of Bishop William Hughes after the St. Paul Parish Formation Committee recommended a new parish for the growing Union area of Boone County. Most founders came from St. Paul Parish in Florence, and chose the name St. Timothy — after St. Paul's close companion — to honor that spiritual lineage. Initially, the community celebrated Saturday evening Mass at the Union Presbyterian Church and at Camp Ernst until the parish center was ready. The first Mass was celebrated on Holy Thursday in 1990. Ground was broken on the current church in June 1997 and it opened in September 1998; the rectory followed in 2001 and the parish center was renovated and expanded in 2004. A preschool opened in 2008 and a kindergarten in 2009, and a capital campaign for a parish school began in 2013. The parish now counts more than 1,600 registered families.

Parish Campus
The campus at 10272 US 42 centers on the church, which contains the sanctuary, nave, adoration chapel, reconciliation room, sacristies, and a large gathering space at the entrance. Brodnick Hall — the lower level of the church building named after founding pastor Rev. Edward Brodnick — hosts parish, group, and private functions and houses the youth room, a meeting room (BH1), and the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry. A separate parish center holds the parish offices and preschool/pre-kindergarten classrooms, while the rectory sits at the north end of the grounds. The Father Ruschman Garden, near the rectory, is a volunteer outreach ministry providing fresh produce to local organizations serving those in need.
