History
The parish dates to 1904 and grew with the early-twentieth-century Catholic population of the Moshannon Valley. It has been served continuously since then in connection with neighboring parishes, and in the Diocese of Erie's October 2023 Clearfield County reconfiguration — announced by Bishop Lawrence T. Persico and effective December 1, 2023 — it was grouped with St. Agnes Parish, Morrisdale. Under that plan it retained its building but lost mission status, meaning it is no longer scheduled for weekend Masses but remains available for weddings, funerals and occasional weekday liturgies.
