Pastor: Father Desmond Ibeneme
Father Desmond Ibeneme was born October 30, 1977, in Awo-Omamma, Imo State, Nigeria, the fifth of seven children. He began seminary formation at age 13 and was ordained to the priesthood on August 18, 2007, for the Catholic Diocese of Orlu. After serving in Nigeria as associate pastor and high-school principal and then eight years as pastor of St. Anthony of Padua Parish, Uli, he came to the Diocese of Tulsa. His first U.S. assignment was as Associate Pastor of the Church of St. Benedict in Broken Arrow (2017), followed by pastor of Sacred Heart, Fairfax, and St. Joseph, Cleveland, and St. Joseph, Hominy. On July 1, 2022, he was named Pastor of Sts. Peter & Paul in Cushing, together with St. John the Evangelist in Pawnee and St. Mary in Drumright.
