Sts. Joachim and Ann Catholic Church — also known as Saint Ann, Barrenspot — is a vibrant Catholic parish in Kingshill on the island of Saint Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. The parish gathers the faithful of the central-western part of the island for daily and Sunday Eucharist in both its historic chapel and the Ss. Joachim & Ann Church, and it maintains the beloved Shrine of Our Lady of Barren Spot Hill. History of the Parish
The Catholic community at Barrenspot dates to 1825, when the Chapel of St. Anne was built in Estate Barrenspot on St. Croix. For generations it was served by the Redemptorist Fathers as a mission of Holy Cross Parish. In 1970 the mission was elevated to a parish, with Father Michael Kosak as its first pastor. The parish now worships in both the chapel and Ss. Joachim & Ann Church.
