St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Billings, Montana, serves as the parish home for the Sts. Cyril and Methodius Mission in Ballantine, approximately 20 miles east of Billings. Staff
Our pastoral team includes Fr. David Reichling OFM, Cap., who serves as pastor of both St. Bernard’s and Sts. Cyril & Methodius in Ballantine. Other key staff include Deacon Roy Brown (OCIA), Jodi Samel (Bookkeeper), Mary Strauss (Secretary), Donna Choriki-Ayers (Music Director), Brian Shea (DRE/Youth Minister), Jackie Haider and Lauren Dubell (Children’s Faith Formation Directors).
Worship & Music
Masses are celebrated daily, with special weekend services at 5pm Saturday and 9am and 11am Sunday. Music is led by Donna Choriki-Ayers, who directs choirs, prepares song sheets, and coordinates music for weddings and funerals. The parish also offers the Rosary, AA meetings, and other liturgical services.
Faith Formation
The parish offers religious education for children and youth, including SAIL classes, youth groups for grades 5-8, and RCIA/OCIA for adults. Children’s Faith Formation is led by Jackie Haider and Lauren Dubell, who also coordinate VBS and family events.
Ministries & Events
The parish is active in community outreach through ministries such as St. Christopher’s Circle, Midweek Moms, Cum Christo, and the Prayer Chain. Events include Family Game Night, Chili Cook-Off, and Cum Christo Renewal Weekend. The parish also supports the Billings Adoration Chapel and KJCR Radio.
