Our Mission

As Catholics, the parish says, 'we are called by our Lord Jesus Christ to be His Church and live His Gospel. Guided by the Holy Spirit, we strive to fulfill our Baptismal calling by prayer and worship, teaching and sharing our faith, serving others, fostering unity in diversity, and responsible stewardship of all God's gifts.'

Mass & Worship Schedule

Daily Mass is offered Monday through Friday at 7:00 AM, with an additional 8:00 AM Mass on Tuesdays during the school year. Weekend Masses are celebrated Saturday Vigil at 4:30 PM and Sunday at 7:30 AM and 9:30 AM. National holidays have a 9:00 AM Mass, with special schedules for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

Sacraments

The parish prepares parishioners for the seven sacraments of the Catholic Church. Baptisms typically follow either the Saturday Vigil or the Sunday morning Mass; First Communion and Confirmation preparation is run through the CRE; Anointing of the Sick is celebrated communally twice a year and individually on request; and weddings require at least six months of preparation.

Parish School of Religion (PSR) & Faith Formation

Ste. Genevieve du Bois runs a distinctive Parish School of Religion program in which parents are recognized as the primary catechists of their children. Each month the PSR community gathers as families: students meet by grade with a catechist who reinforces the Faith and Life series, while parents meet separately to discuss curriculum or liturgical topics. Community prayer, lesson schedules, unit tests, and announcements are shared at these gatherings. RCIA for adults is led separately by the CRE.

Ste. Genevieve du Bois School

The parish school is a fully accredited Catholic elementary school in the Archdiocese of St. Louis, serving students in Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade. Its mission is 'to teach the Catholic faith and to foster a community that lives in Christ's word,' partnering with students, faculty, parents, clergy, and the parish community for academic excellence rooted in faith.

The parish office is open Monday through Thursday 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM and Friday 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM (closed on Fridays during the summer).
