About Us
St. Wendelin’s Parish is a family of believers in Jesus Christ and His Church. The parish is led, with pride and love, by Father Erik Lundgren, our current pastor. The church is clearly visible as you approach Luxemburg on Highway 15. Since it is the only church in Luxemburg, it is the central point of the community.
History of St. Wendelin
Saint Wendelin, born in 554 in Scotland, left his royal life to pursue a humble, prayerful existence. He traveled to Rome, received an audience with Pope Benedict I, and eventually settled as a hermit near Trier. His life included miraculous events, such as a spring he created by thrusting his staff into the ground and a tree that grew from his staff. His feast day is celebrated locally with a procession to the spring he blessed.
