History
Founded in 1872, St. Walburga grew into a self-sustaining parish with its own pastor, school, and parish life, serving Titusville's oil-country Catholics for well over a century. One of its mid-20th-century pastors, Father Lohse, came to St. Walburga in July 1958 after twelve years as an assistant at nearby St. James Parish. By the 21st century, in a diocesan-wide reconfiguration, the parish was merged in 2017 with St. Titus Parish. St. Titus (513 W. Main St.) became the parish church and administrative center, while the St. Walburga church building on Brook Street was retained as a secondary worship site — without mission status — for weddings, funerals, and occasional weekday Masses.

Faith Formation & Religious Education
Religious education for the merged parish is run through St. Titus Parish's Faith Formation Program (FFP), which is open to families from the St. Walburga side of Titusville as well. Classes follow the local Catholic-school weather policy — when local schools are cancelled or dismissed early, FFP classes are also cancelled; parents are notified through the FFP Remind App or the parish website.
