History of the Parish
The parish was formally organized in 1946, the date recorded in its IRS exemption records. Its school opened in 1957, joining the established Catholic schools of the Wisconsin Rapids area. In 1999, the parish schools and Assumption High School consolidated under diocesan guidance; in 2004 the school was reassigned to serve grades 3–5, and in 2010 the consolidated system took the name Assumption Catholic Schools.
