St. Vincent de Paul — Churchville Worship Site
St. Vincent de Paul is one of three worship sites of St. Martin de Porres Parish, the others being St. Columba in Caledonia and St. Mary of the Assumption in Scottsville. Located at 11 North Main Street in the village of Churchville, Monroe County, it hosts the 11:00 am Sunday Mass and a Monday 8:30 am weekday Mass. The Churchville office is open Mondays 8:00 am – 12:00 pm and can be reached at 585-294-3085. The wider parish office in Caledonia (585-538-2126) is open Monday–Thursday 8:30 am – 4:00 pm and Friday 8:30 am – 1:00 pm.

History of St. Vincent de Paul
The parish was formally organized by Rev. Michael Purcell in 1869, and the first church building was dedicated by Bishop Bernard J. McQuaid in 1870. Father O'Hare enlarged the original structure in 1871, and a Sabbath school was established the same year. The first resident pastor was Rev. Michael Meagher (named 1873). The present church was built in 1885 under Father Curran, and the rectory followed in 1894 (modernized with aluminum siding in 1963). During 1958–59, the lower level of the church was excavated, walls reinforced, and the church hall constructed largely by volunteer parish men; Bishop Kearney blessed the new hall on December 9, 1959.

Formation of St. Martin de Porres Parish (2017)
On July 1, 2017, Bishop Salvatore Matano decreed that St. Vincent de Paul, St. Columba, and St. Mary of the Assumption be amalgamated by extinctive union into a single parish to ensure continued ministry to the people of Caledonia, Churchville, and Scottsville. The new parish took the patronage of St. Martin de Porres and was inaugurated with a special Mass and picnic. In 2022 the community celebrated five years as a unified parish with a picnic and retreat.

Rev. John Hayes serves as pastor of St. Martin de Porres Parish, assisted by Rev. Ted Auble. Deacon Matthew Dudek assists in parish ministry and directs Baptismal preparation. Fr. Carlos Sanchez is the contact for OCIA (adult initiation), Marriage preparation, and sacramental preparation for teens and adults receiving First Reconciliation, First Communion, or Confirmation for the first time. The parish also maintains a Faith Formation Coordinator for children's programs.

Faith Formation & Religious Education
St. Martin de Porres offers a Family Faith Formation program for children in K–7th grade built on the principle that parents are the primary educators of the faith. Families attend one monthly gathering (October–May, offered at each worship site), attend weekend Mass regularly, and choose three additional educational or spiritual experiences from a monthly "choose your own adventure" playlist. The program supplies each family with Pflaum Gospel Weeklies for at-home catechesis on the Sunday readings. Teen Faith Formation (Youth Ministry, 8th–12th grade) covers advocacy, catechesis, community life, evangelization, justice and service, leadership development, pastoral care, and prayer and worship, with local, diocesan, and national opportunities (including NCYC). Sacramental preparation for First Reconciliation, First Eucharist, and Confirmation is in addition to parish Faith Formation; preparation for adults and teens is handled through OCIA.
