Why belong here
St. Vincent de Paul offers a warm, mid-sized parish home with daily and weekend Mass, regular Eucharistic adoration, and a personal invitation from Father Murchadh to anyone exploring the Catholic faith through OCIA. Families can enroll children in religious education from pre-K through Confirmation, teens gather for the parish youth group, and there are bible studies for both men and women. Outreach is hands-on: Our Lady's Cupboard food pantry serves local neighbors in need, a prison ministry reaches into 23 facilities across the diocese, the Seven Sisters Apostolate prays for the pastor weekly, and Villa Vincente provides HUD housing to low-income seniors right on the parish grounds.

Parish Overview & History
St. Vincent de Paul Parish was erected on September 27, 1986 in the Diocese of Venice, making it part of the wave of new parishes founded in the mid-1980s to serve the growing Catholic population of Southwest Florida. The church building was dedicated on May 21, 1989, with a second dedication recorded on October 1, 1995. The parish takes its name from St. Vincent de Paul, the 17th-century French priest known for his works of charity — a fitting patron for a community that today operates a senior housing complex and a food pantry. The parish is part of the Central Deanery of the Diocese of Venice.

The OCIA program begins in September and runs through the following Easter (usually April), when candidates are baptized and received into the Church.
