About
St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Community is a parish within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany, New York. It is a rural community located in the beautiful Schoharie County valley. The parish records date back to 1871 but there is a documented history of Catholic ministry that pre-dates the Civil War. The first church was dedicated in 1894. One hundred years later, in October 1994, a new and much larger church building was dedicated. Mass and Prayer Home
Weekend liturgies are at 5:15 pm on Saturday and 8:30 am on Sunday. Daily Mass is held on Tuesday at 9 AM, Thursday at 12 noon, and First Friday at 9 AM. The Augustinians of the Assumption (Assumptionists) are visiting our parish at the Saturday and Sunday Masses, July 18th and 19th. The Assumptionists dedicate themselves to working with the poor especially in the missions of East Africa, Mexico, and the Philippines. The Second Collection is for the support of these missions. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
Ministries
The parish offers a variety of ministries including Discipleship Formation for Children and Youth, Youth Ministry, Bible Study, Knights of Columbus Council 5419, Parish Library, and the Christmas Boutique. The parish is currently seeking a Coordinator for the Discipleship Formation for Children and Youth Program and Catechists for the 2026-2027 program year. Volunteers are also needed for the Parish Library and for donating items for the Christmas Boutique.

Faith Formation
The parish offers Discipleship Formation for Children and Youth, with a Coordinator and Catechists needed for the 2026-2027 program year. Bible Study is held weekly on Thursdays from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM in the Parish Hall, discussing the weekend readings and Gospel to better understand the liturgy before Mass. The parish also hosts a Healing Rosary on Fridays at 7:00 PM via Zoom and invites parishioners to pray the Rosary after Daily Mass on Tuesdays.
