St. Thomas Aquinas Newman Center is the Catholic campus ministry serving the students, faculty, and staff of Winona State University in Winona, Minnesota. Located at 475 Huff Street, the Center is a vibrant Catholic community dedicated to fostering a personal, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ through the Sacraments, Sacred Scripture, and Church teaching. It is part of the Diocese of Winona-Rochester and is supported by a chaplain, a director, and a coordinator of campus ministry. Most Sunday and weekday Masses are celebrated at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in downtown Winona, with one weekly evening Mass held at the Newman Center itself during the academic year.

St. Thomas Aquinas Newman Center exists solely to bring honor and glory to Jesus Christ by walking Winona State students into a deeper relationship with Him. Through daily and weekly Mass, Eucharistic Adoration several days a week, regular Confession, small-group Bible studies, fellowship events, and retreats (including trips like climbing Sugarloaf), it forms disciples who learn to offer their lives to Christ as a gift of sacrificial love. Students looking for a Catholic home on campus can join small groups, go on retreats, serve in liturgical and outreach roles, and grow in friendship with peers who take their faith seriously.

St. Thomas Aquinas Newman Center is a vibrant Catholic community dedicated to fostering a personal, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ for every student. Centered on the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, the Newman Center is the Catholic club for students at Winona State University and exists solely to bring honor and glory to Jesus Christ.
Get Involved: Small Groups & Bible Studies
The Newman Center invites students to 'Go Deeper in Prayer' by diving into Scripture and growing in faith with peers through small-group Bible studies. Becoming a small-group leader is one of the main ways students can serve and lead at the Center, joining the campus ministry team and shaping the community for the students who follow them.

Staff & Diocesan Affiliation
The Newman Center is staffed by a chaplain who is a priest of the Diocese of Winona-Rochester, a director, and a coordinator of campus ministry. It is one of two Newman Centers listed by the Diocese of Winona-Rochester (the other serving Minnesota State University – Mankato), making it part of the diocese's official young-adult ministry outreach.
