About Us

St. Therese of Lisieux was permanently closed on July 26, 2025. The Pax Christi Collaborative brings together the historical Roman Catholic parishes of St. Elizabeth of Hungary and Our Mother of Sorrows to work in a unified mission of spreading the light and peace of Christ throughout Louisville. Pax Christi not only reflects the parishes’ resolve to spread the message of Christ, it also reminds us of our heritage in the Latin language with Pax meaning peace and Christi as Christ, Himself. The parishes of the Pax Christi Collaborative will be a source of renewal in the heart of Louisville: Revitalizing our faith, reverencing our traditions and reaching out to welcome new parishioners of all ages.
