Why belong here
St. Theresa offers a small, rural Catholic community where everyone knows each other, with the stability of full-time priests (a pastor and an associate) shared across the All Saints Catholic Community and an active schedule of Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, Confession, and seasonal Spanish Masses. Because it is paired with St. Stephen in Lake City and St. Ann–St. Edward in Cadillac, parishioners have access to faith formation, sacramental preparation, and community life across three worship sites while keeping their home parish in Manton.

2026 Merger with St. Stephen (Lake City)
In June 2026, Bishop Jeffrey J. Walsh of the Diocese of Gaylord issued a formal decree ordering the 'extinctive union' (canonical merger) of St. Theresa, Manton with St. Stephen, Lake City, effective July 1, 2026. The decree states that St. Theresa is extinguished as a separate juridic person and St. Stephen succeeds to all juridic relations and temporal goods. St. Theresa is to continue as a 'limited-use church' within the enlarged territory of St. Stephen parish. The Bishop cited insufficient clergy, overlapping pastoral activity, and the inability of each parish individually to sustain essential ministries as the just cause for the merger.

- Effective date: July 1, 2026
- St. Theresa designated as a limited-use church within St. Stephen parish
