St. Stanislaus Parish in the Wylam neighborhood of Birmingham, Alabama, is a historic Catholic community founded in 1913 by Polish immigrants, many of whom worked in the local mines. History
St. Stanislaus Parish was formed in 1913 by Polish-speaking immigrants, many of them coal miners, in the Wylam area of Birmingham. The community oversaw the construction of a church building in 1923. For generations it has served Catholics in the historic Wylam and western Birmingham area.
