Parish History
St. Rita Parish traces its roots to 1932, when Encanto Catholics gathered for Mass in a parishioner's home. Officially founded in 1941 by Bishop Buddy, the parish built its first church in 1942 and its present church in 1955. Over the decades St. Rita has grown into a community of about 2,000 families, supported by a parish school and annex.
