From its founding, St. Richard has operated as a secondary mission of St. Eusebius, sharing clergy and staff with the parent parish.

Patron Saint
The church is named for St. Richard of Chichester (Richard de Wych), a 13th-century English bishop born around 1197 in Droitwich, Worcestershire. He served as Bishop of Chichester from 1244 until his death at Dover on 3 April 1253, and was canonized in 1262 by Pope Urban IV at Viterbo.
