History of the Parish
St. Regina was established in 1968 as a Catholic mission in Parsons, Tennessee. It has been linked from its early years with the Catholic community in nearby Lexington; on June 15, 1988, the Bishop formally declared St. Andrew the Apostle in Lexington an independent parish and designated St. Regina in Parsons as a mission church. The parish shares pastoral and administrative leadership with St. Andrew's and continues to serve Catholic families throughout Henderson County. Mass & Worship Schedule
St. Regina offers Sunday Mass at 11:00 a.m. and a midweek Holy Hour on Wednesdays from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. that includes Mass and Eucharistic Adoration. Confessions are heard during Wednesday Adoration or by appointment. Masses for Holy Days of Obligation are scheduled by the parish — visitors should contact the parish office for times.

Sacraments
The parish prepares members for the major sacraments of the Catholic Church. Parents are asked to call the parish office to arrange Pre-Baptism sessions and to arrange the Baptism itself; one Catholic sponsor is required and parents are expected to be active members of St. Andrew's or St. Regina. Couples should call at least six months in advance of a wedding and complete a required Pre-Marriage program. The Anointing of the Sick, as well as Holy Communion for the hospitalized, homebound, or those in nursing homes, can be arranged by calling the parish office.

Becoming Catholic — RCIA
St. Regina offers the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), the normal Catholic process for welcoming non-baptized adults into the Church and for receiving baptized Christians from other denominations. RCIA is structured around four stages — Inquiry, the Catechumenate, Enlightenment and Purification (Lent), and Mystagogia (Easter to Pentecost) — and culminates at the Easter Vigil with Baptism, Confirmation, and First Eucharist. The parish invites inquirers to ask questions, share their faith stories, and discern whether to continue in formation.

Religious Education

Finding St. Regina
