Parish History & Identity
St. Philip the Apostle was founded in 1965 to serve the Catholic families of the Morrow area in Warren County, Ohio. Today it is one half of the Our Lady of Hope Catholic Family of Parishes, sharing clergy and programs with St. Francis de Sales in nearby Lebanon. The parish describes itself as 'surrounded by trees and open fields,' an easy drive from Maineville, Loveland and South Lebanon along U.S. 22 & 3.

Pastoral Leadership & Staff
The parish family is led by Fr. Craig Best, Pastor, who is responsible for the souls in the geographic boundaries of both St. Francis de Sales and St. Philip the Apostle. Fr. Brice Berger serves as Parochial Vicar. Two permanent deacons, Deacon Jay Rettig and Deacon John O'Maley, assist with liturgy and pastoral care. Faith Formation & Religious Education
Beginning in September 2024, Our Lady of Hope Family of Parishes moved from the traditional PSR/PREP model of youth catechesis to a relational Youth Faith Formation (YFF) model. Youth Ministry alternates locations monthly — typically meeting at St. Philip on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. and at St. Francis de Sales the following month. Adult Faith Formation is led by Director of Adult Evangelization & Faith Formation Jerry Robinson, while P.J. Ehling directs Youth Evangelization & Catechesis across the family.

St. Philip the Apostle runs several long-standing lay-led ministries, organized at the family-of-parishes level under the headings Worship, Activities, Youth Faith Formation, Adult Faith Formation, Parish Governance, Evangelization, Personal/Relational Help, and Social Justice & Community Outreach. A vibrant Hispanic Ministry is coordinated by Herminia Torres, and the parish works closely with St. Vincent de Paul, the Knights of Columbus, the Forever Young seniors, and a Fellowship group that plans monthly parish socials.

Worship & Music
The sanctuary was recently renovated along with an upgrade to the choir and music equipment, supporting a robust liturgical music program that serves both St. Philip and St. Francis de Sales. Doug Stegeman serves as Director of Worship and Music and Paul Kindt as Coordinator of Evangelization and Music Ministry for the family of parishes.

Grounds, Devotions & Outdoor Prayer
The parish grounds, set among trees and open fields, are designed for both gathering and quiet prayer. A walking-path Stations of the Cross is available year-round for outdoor meditation, and the campus is frequently used for parish get-togethers in addition to weekly liturgies.
