St. Peter is a small Roman Catholic mission parish of the Archdiocese of Denver, located at 106 S. 5th Street in Kremmling, the county seat of Grand County, Colorado. Tucked into the mountains of the headwaters of the Colorado River, the parish serves a geographically far-flung ranching and outdoor-recreation community at roughly 7,000 feet elevation. It is one of five clustered parishes that together form the Grand Catholic pastoral region.

History
St. Peter, Kremmling was the first Catholic church built in Northwestern Colorado, constructed by Father John James Meyers soon after Bishop Nicholas Matz placed him in charge of the Northwestern Colorado Missionary District in 1907. Known as the 'Mountain Priest,' Father Meyers made Kremmling his first home base before relocating to Steamboat Springs, from where he rode, then drove, the hundreds of miles across Grand, Routt, Moffat and Jackson counties every Sunday. After his death on December 31, 1938, the mission was eventually formally organized as a parish — a date the Archdiocese of Denver records as 1944.

- 1911 — Kremmling business directory lists 'Catholic Church, Father Meyers priest'.
- 1938 — Father Meyers dies December 31; Archbishop Vehr praises his extraordinary service.

The parish is currently part of a five-parish cluster overseen from neighboring Granby. As of November 15, 2025, the Archdiocese of Denver has assigned Father José de Jesus Murillo-Ferro, L.C. as Parochial Vicar across the Grand Catholic cluster, having succeeded Father Matthias Bayiha, who served as Parochial Administrator (ad nutum archiepiscopi) from July 2025. Earlier assignments saw Father Michael Freihofer as pastor and Father Peter Wojda as parochial vicar.

Sacraments
St. Peter prepares the faithful for the sacraments of initiation and the sacraments at the service of communion. Parents and godparents receive catechetical preparation for Baptism; Confirmation is currently celebrated in the 6th grade as the Archdiocese transitions toward the restored order (Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist by 3rd grade); engaged couples are expected to celebrate Reconciliation about a week before their wedding.
