History & Heritage
St. Patrick Parish was established in 1921 in response to the post-World War I growth of North Park. Father Gregory Ashe was appointed founding pastor, and the parish hall hosted the first Mass on February 5, 1922. The magnificent Romanesque church was completed in 1929. The Augustinian Order assumed leadership in 1925 and continues to guide the parish today.
