Parish History
St. Patrick Catholic Church traces its beginnings to 1882, when the Diocese of San Antonio erected a small building close to the army post at Fort Sam Houston. That modest structure served the Catholic community with Mass and religious instruction until 1895, when the first dedicated parish church was built. Today the parish stands at 1114 Willow Street as a bilingual parish of the Archdiocese of San Antonio.
