History of the Parish
St. Patrick was established as a parish in 1923 and quickly became the mother church of the area, founding St. Joseph in Pinole as a mission until 1947. Parish and school life expanded dramatically in the 1950s under Fr. George Moss with the opening of St. Patrick School, and again in the 1980s–2010s as buildings were rebuilt after fire and new classrooms and a science lab were added. Today the parish continues to grow its ministries and physical plant, with a new multipurpose building under construction in 2024.

Faith Formation & Religious Education
St. Patrick offers formation for every age: a parish school of faith for the youngest, a structured Children's Faith Formation program for Preschool through 5th Grade, the EDGE middle-school ministry for grades 6–8, and Life Teen for high schoolers. The Confirmation Journey meets on Sundays, and adults grow through Bible Study with Fr. Larry Young, offered twice weekly.

St. Patrick Catholic School
St. Patrick Catholic School is the parish's PreK–8 school, located at 907 Seventh Street in Rodeo. Part of the Diocese of Oakland's educational system, the school currently enrolls more than 400 students with about 50 teachers and staff. It also operates a Nursery Infant Care Center for children 6 weeks to 2.5 years old. Students benefit from 1-to-1 technology, daily PE, biweekly Spanish (daily in middle school), biweekly music, a school garden, Shamrock Park, CYO sports, and a musical theater program.

Devotions & Prayer Life
Beyond the Mass schedule, the parish sustains a rich devotional life including weekly novenas to Our Lady of Perpetual Help and Santo Niño, Stations of the Cross in Lent, a monthly First Friday Holy Hour with Benediction, and the Legion of Mary Rosary. The Likha Music Ministry supports parish worship and prepares the annual Memorial Service.
