History of St. Patrick Church
The Catholic roots of St. Patrick date to 1896, when Father Lagan acquired five lots in the center of Larkspur, with part of the land given by Patrick King, the owner of the town land of Larkspur. The church was named in his honor. Nearly twenty years later, on June 5, 1915, Archbishop Edward Hanna of the Archdiocese of San Francisco formally established St. Patrick as a parish. From those beginnings the parish has grown into a Marin County community centered on the Eucharist, sacramental life, parish school, faith formation, and outreach.

Devotions and Prayer Life
The rosary is prayed together before weekday Mass, with the day's mysteries rotating through the week. During Lent, the parish offers Stations of the Cross, a Lenten Soup Supper, and a Lenten Reconciliation Service. The Upper Room meets on Tuesday evenings and the Parish Book Club gathers on Wednesday evenings, supporting ongoing adult spiritual growth alongside the High School youth group.

Faith Formation & Religious Education
Faith formation at St. Patrick follows the parish mission and serves children, teens, and adults. Children's Faith Formation for K-2 uses an adapted Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (a Montessori-based approach centered on the atrium and the Eucharist), supplemented with Pflaum Gospel Weeklies. Older grades continue with Pflaum Gospel Weeklies and Confirmation preparation uses Decision Point by Dynamic Catholic. The parish also offers OCIA for adults and OCIA Adapted for Minors for children age 7 and older entering the Church. Sacramental preparation requires at minimum two years of parish involvement per Archdiocesan guidelines.

St. Patrick Parish School (K-8)
St. Patrick Parish School is a K-8 elementary school located at 120 King Street, Larkspur, sharing the King Street campus with the parish church. Parish Ministries and Outreach
Outreach is central to parish identity. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) conference meets monthly to address corporal needs in the Corte Madera-Larkspur area, with volunteers visiting client homes and working to prevent homelessness. Helping Hands brings Holy Communion to the homebound, prepares meals for those in need or in challenging life situations, and hosts a monthly luncheon for the 'over 50s' in the community. Sacraments
The parish prepares parishioners for and celebrates the full range of Catholic sacraments. Baptism is available for infants and children under 7 (contact the parish office) and for those age 7 and older through OCIA Adapted for Minors. First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion are prepared through the Children's Faith Formation program, and Confirmation through the two-year Confirmation process. Couples should contact the parish office for marriage preparation; the Anointing of the Sick is available upon request. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is offered on First Fridays.
