St. Patrick Church is a Catholic worship site in Kinsman, Ohio, in the rural Ashtabula County farmland of northeastern Ohio. Established as a parish in 1957 and dedicated with its first Mass on Palm Sunday 1958, St. Patrick was originally served by the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate and is today one of two church buildings that make up Our Lady of Hope Parish (the other being Our Lady of Victory Church in Andover). The two parishes were merged by Bishop David J. Bonnar on March 17, 2022, and now share a pastor, Rev. John Ettinger, who also serves St. Joseph Calasanctius Parish in Jefferson.

St. Patrick Church is a small, rooted Catholic community in rural Ashtabula County that has celebrated the Eucharist continuously since 1958 and now shares parish life with Our Lady of Victory in Andover as part of Our Lady of Hope Parish. Our Lady of Hope Parish — Two Churches, One Community
Since March 17, 2022, St. Patrick Church in Kinsman and Our Lady of Victory Church in Andover have officially been one Roman Catholic parish under the patronage of Our Lady of Hope. Parishioners initiated the merger after years of cooperation — the two communities had already shared a pastor since St. Patrick's was founded in 1957 — and Bishop David J. Bonnar of Youngstown formally decreed it. The parish office is located at the Andover worship site, but each church retains its own identity and schedule of Masses and devotions.

History of St. Patrick Parish
Catholic life in the Kinsman countryside can be traced to the 1890s, when a priest serving Jefferson and Conneaut would travel out to bring the sacraments to scattered farm families. In 1943 the Oblates of Mary Immaculate Fathers from St. Joseph Parish in Jefferson began formally serving the mission, and Bishop James McFadden designated it a mission of St. Mary Parish in Warren in 1944. The mission was raised to parish status in 1957, took the name St. Patrick, and built its church at 6397 State Route 87. The first Mass in the new building was celebrated on Palm Sunday 1958. The Oblates served as pastors until 1984, when a shortage of priests led to their departure and diocesan clergy took over.

The Oblate Heritage and the Name 'Our Lady of Hope'
Our Lady of Hope — the title chosen for the merged parish in 2022 — refers to the Marian apparition at Pontmain, France in 1871. The diocese notes that this Marian title reflects the community's longtime devotion to Christ and the renewed hope of the Resurrection, and that it has a particular connection to the years the community was shepherded by the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate.
