History

St. Patrick Parish was originally established in 1930 as a mission of St. Paul Church in Tranquility, California, to serve the families of West Side farmers and farm workers in the Kerman area. In 1943 it became a parish in its own right and for many years worshipped at the original church on the corner of 6th and G Streets in Kerman. A larger, new church was completed on West Kearney Boulevard in 2001, just north of Kerman Middle School, and that building remains the parish's worship home today.
