St. Patrick Church is a Catholic parish of the Diocese of Honolulu located at 1124 7th Avenue in the Kaimukī neighborhood of Honolulu, Hawaiʻi. The parish is home to St. Patrick School and stands adjacent to the historic campus of Sacred Hearts Academy, forming a multi-building Catholic complex that has served the Kaimukī community since 1929. History & Founding
St. Patrick Church traces its origin to the early 1900s, when Honolulu's population expanded beyond Kewalo, Punchbowl, Kalihi, and Kaimukī. Catholics in Kaimukī attended Mass in the convent chapel of the Sisters of the Sacred Hearts on Waialae Avenue until the chapel became too small by 1917. Father Patrick St. Leger, SS.CC., the convent chaplain, began plans for a new parish church but could not complete them because of poor health. The Vicar Apostolic then entrusted the project to Father Athanasius Bous, SS.CC., who secured architect R. A. Fishbourne and saw the Romanesque cruciform church through to completion.

Architecture & Sacred Art
Completed in 1929, St. Patrick's is one of Honolulu's most recognized Catholic landmarks. Designed in a Spanish Mission Revival style with Romanesque cruciform plan, it features stuccoed reinforced-concrete walls, a red tile roof, round-arched openings, and a blind arcade along the eave line. The flat exterior is given definition by a single-story entrance porch, a corner chapel, and a front Palladian window with twisted columns and corbeled arches.

Sacraments
The parish prepares Catholics for and celebrates the seven sacraments. Infant baptism is coordinated by Bert and Karen Nakamura, and the parish maintains a full Sacramental program including First Reconciliation, First Communion, Confirmation, and Matrimony preparation. Faith Formation & Religious Education
St. Patrick's faith formation programs serve children and adults. Sr. Anne Clare DeCosta and Stella Christopher serve in Religious Education, with Thomas Pangilinan as Faith Formation Coordinator and Ann Marie Lema heading the Catechetical Ministry. RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is coordinated by David and Rosemarie Tom for adults seeking to enter the Catholic Church.
