History
St. Patrick's Georgetown was the first parish established in the area, founded in the 1850s when Fr. John Kreckel celebrated Mass in homes. In 1874, it became a mission church in Albia, purchasing a former Episcopal building. By 1904, it had grown enough to appoint its first resident priest and build a new church on Benton Avenue East. The parish later expanded with a school, rectory, and new church built in 1979–1980. It is now part of the larger St. Mary's parish structure, serving the Georgetown community under shared pastoral care.

Ministries are currently on hold due to pandemic guidelines. Once restrictions are lifted, the parish welcomes volunteers to join teams including Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors, Cantors, Greeters, Altar Servers, Sacristans, Evangelization Team, Vocations Ministry, Precious Blood Companions, Vigil Lights and Holy Water Font Ministers, Collection Counters, Parish Council, Finance Council, and Building and Grounds Committee.
