History
The parish was founded in 1886. The Scholasticum, formerly the Our Lady of Assumption Academy (opened in 1923), served as the parish’s educational and administrative hub until 2024. Due to aging infrastructure, rising maintenance costs, and ADA accessibility needs, the Academy building was decommissioned. Construction of the new Scholasticum began in 2024 and was completed by fall 2025, now serving as a center for religious education, parish office, and community activities.
