Parish History
The site was acquired in 1955 by Monsignor Thomas F. O’Reilly, who oversaw construction. Ground was broken in October 1961, and the church was completed in 1962. Designed by Goodrich and Wilking, it features Italian marble, German wood carvings, and 57 stained glass windows. The school was built alongside, and the rectory and convent were later purchased nearby. The parish opened with less than $100,000 in debt, which was paid off in three years.
