Parish Identity and History
Founded in 1856 in North Bridgewater to serve a growing local Catholic population, St. Patrick's church was dedicated in 1859 and has remained the mother parish of Brockton's Catholic community ever since. The parish marked its sesquicentennial in December 2006 with Cardinal Seán P. O'Mley presiding at a closing Mass and reception.
