History
St. Olaf Catholic Parish was established in 1952 by Father Robert Agnew with 125 families in a small house on Western Avenue in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. St. Olaf quickly outgrew the house and moved the celebration of Sunday Mass to the VFW Hall on Starr Avenue. In 1954, a school was built, with the place for worship on the third floor. When the sisters came to our parish school Mass was offered in the cafeteria. In 1956, the addition to the school was ready and the parish established a temporary church in the gym. On February 18, 2001 the new church was dedicated and the “old church” was renovated as the “Father Robert Agnew Parish Center.” In 2001, the Parish Center was enhanced with the addition of a new kitchen, rest rooms, and choir room. Presently, 1000+ families celebrate the Catholic Faith with gratitude for all the sacrifices that make St. Olaf th
