St. Monica's Parish is a Roman Catholic parish in West Wyoming, Pennsylvania, belonging to the Diocese of Scranton. It was formed in 2010 by the consolidation of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish in West Wyoming and (later, in 2013) St. Joseph Parish in Wyoming, and is served from the former Our Lady of Sorrows Church at 363 West Eighth Street. History & Heritage

The parish was established in November 2010 by the Diocese of Scranton through the consolidation of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, West Wyoming, with the parish taking the name St. Monica. Three years later, in August 2013, St. Joseph Church in Wyoming was merged into St. Monica Parish, unifying the Catholic presence across the two boroughs under one worship site.

Memorial Offerings & Mass Intentions

St. Monica's offers the customary Catholic memorial giving programs — the Sanctuary Candle, the Bread and Wine used at Mass, and the annual Mass Intention Book. Requests can be dropped in the weekend collection basket or mailed to the parish office; the parish notes it cannot take requests by phone or email.

Religious Education (CCD)

The parish operates a CCD (Confraternity of Christian Doctrine) religious education program for its children, meeting on Sunday mornings during the parish's regular schedule. The program prepares students for the sacraments and supports ongoing faith formation.
