The first church was built in 1869, and members came from the surrounding communities of Oakdale, Clifton, Byron, Fountain, and Wilton. German, Austrian, Bohemian, and Hungarian families made up the early congregation, and German remained the principal language of the liturgy for more than fifty years.
The 1910 Church
In 1910, the present church building was constructed to replace the original 1869 structure. It continues to serve as the parish's place of worship and remains the spiritual center of the community's rural mission.
