Parish History
St. Maurice at Resurrection is the living union of two South Florida Catholic communities: St. Maurice Church, founded June 12, 1970 on the site of a former horse barn (Smith's Stables) — hence the nickname "The Church of the Stable" — and the Church of the Resurrection of our Lord, founded in 1958 and later served by the Augustinian Order. The two parishes were merged on October 1, 2009, and on April 26, 2014 the combined community moved into Resurrection's distinctive A-frame church on NE 2nd Street in Dania Beach, taking the present name.

Sacraments
The parish prepares members for the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, Reconciliation, Marriage, and Anointing of the Sick. Families register through the parish office (954-961-7777), and Confession is offered weekly on Saturday afternoons in the Chapel or by appointment. Hunger Program Outreach & Charitable Works
The Hunger Program Ministry is one of the parish's longest-running and most recognizable works. It was started by Father Sean Mulcahy during his 22-year pastorate (1976–1998) and continues today under the direction of Susana Ramos. It is joined by Share-A-Meal (Ashley Ronnan) and the St. Vincent de Paul Society (Maria Dibeneditto), giving the parish three complementary ways to feed and accompany neighbors in need.

Building & Facilities
The parish worships in Resurrection's original A-frame church, dedicated in 1963 and rededicated in 1992 after the addition of a gathering space, a west transept, and stained-glass windows designed by Augustinian Fr. Michael Hughes. A Peace Garden was later added under Fr. Tomasulo. Confessions are heard in the parish Chapel, and the Blessed Sacrament is exposed in the Chapel on Wednesday mornings.
