Why belong here

St. Matthew is a long-established, multi-cultural Catholic community that warmly welcomes newcomers to North Seattle. The parish offers the Sunday and daily Mass schedule of a traditional parish (Saturday Vigil, two Sunday morning Masses, weekday Masses) along with the Sacrament of Reconciliation before the Vigil, and is paired with St. Mark in Shoreline under Parish Family 12 so that Mass, faith formation, and outreach span the wider North Seattle Deanery. Active ministries include OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation for Adults), First Reconciliation and First Communion preparation, Confirmation prep for grades 7–12, an Engaged Encounter marriage enrichment program, a Bible-study Catholic Conversations series, a Knights of Columbus council, and a robust St. Vincent de Paul Conference serving neighbors in Northgate and Lake City with food, rent, and utility help — plus a parish school with Pre-K through Grade 8.
