Why belong here
St. Mary offers a warm, intimate worship experience in a tight-knit rural Kentucky community of about 17 households, with a converted historic bank building as its home. Because it is twinned with St. Andrew in Harrodsburg, parishioners enjoy a surprisingly full schedule: a Saturday Vigil Mass, daily weekday Masses, a Spanish-language Sunday Mass, monthly First Friday Eucharistic Adoration, and Saturday confessions — far more than a mission of its size would normally offer. It is an ideal place for Catholics in the Boyle / Mercer County area seeking a small, family-style community with strong pastoral care.

History & the Perryville Bank Building
The mission's worship space is housed in what was originally the Bank of Perryville. According to a Boyle County Public Library history mural, the bank was organized in 1896 by George W. Edwards; in 1970, two years after the parish was canonically established, the building was dedicated as St. Mary's Catholic Church. The mission was created to serve the small Catholic population of Perryville in Boyle County and has continued as a satellite community of the larger St. Andrew parish in nearby Harrodsburg.
