History & the 2016 Merger
St. Mary of the Most Holy Rosary served Pardeeville as an independent parish for decades under the Diocese of Madison. In February 2016, Bishop Robert C. Morlino formally merged St. Mary (Pardeeville) with St. Andrew (Buffalo Township) into St. Faustina Parish. The merger Mass featured an unveiling of a painting of St. Faustina Kowalska and a parish reception. St. Faustina Parish was later grouped into the Saint John Henry Newman Catholic Community, sharing clergy, faith formation, and St. Mary Catholic School in Portage with parishes across the region.
