Parish History
The parish was established in 1852. The present-day church on Syracuse Street was completed in 1940 under the pastor remembered as Father Kirchen, a priest from Luxemburg who also spearheaded construction of the school, which opened in 1952. Longtime parishioners recall a flourishing mid-century Catholic school staffed largely by Religious Sisters, with classrooms of 35 or more pupils. St. Mary's Academy has continued providing Catholic education for more than sixty-three years, and the parish now partners with neighboring parishes in Baldwinsville for weekday Mass and First Friday Adoration.

St. Mary's Academy
St. Mary's Academy is the parish's Catholic elementary school, founded in 1952 on the campus behind the church on Syracuse Street. Its motto is "Where Faith and Knowledge Meet," and the school has continued the tradition of providing academic excellence in a Catholic, faith-filled community for more than sixty-three years. Faith Formation & Religious Education
Faith formation at St. Mary's spans every age. Adult Faith Formation assists adults in growing a close personal relationship with God through programs that increase knowledge of the Catholic faith and inspire spiritual growth. Parish Outreach & Respect Life
Parish Outreach Ministries work to assist with the needs of parishioners and the wider community, especially the poor and underserved, identifying resources and enlisting parishioners' cooperation. The parish partners with other community agencies and runs monthly food and seasonal collections. The Respect Life ministry advocates for the dignity of human life from conception to natural death. Liturgical Ministries & Homebound
