Who We Are
At St. John Paul II Parish, our mission is to foster a vibrant and united community of faith that encourages individuals and families to grow their relationship with Jesus. Rooted in our rich history, we strive to cultivate a deep sense of connection and compassion towards our neighbors as we worship together and embrace the virtues of love, humility, and service. As a Catholic parish, we are dedicated to providing a safe haven where all can experience the grace of the sacraments and live and share the Gospel— the good news of Christ crucified and risen from the dead.
The Sacraments
When we talk about the Sacraments we are talking about the ways we grow closer to Christ and develop a personal relationship with Him. There is no more intimate way of knowing Christ than to receive Him: Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity in the Eucharist. It is incredibly powerful and healing to hear Christ's words of forgiveness in the Sacrament of Confession. It is through the Grace we receive in the Sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation that we are given the strength to come to know, love, and serve God.
Service
We believe in the dignity of every human life from conception to natural death. To know Christ is to want to share His love with others through service. Our parish has many opportunities for service including our food pantry, pro-life ministry, prayer shawl ministry, and supporting Fr. Fred and his home for boys in Haiti. Our goal is to be the hands and feet of Christ here in Southbridge.
Children & Teens
The parish offers programs and ministries for children and teens, including CCD enrollment and youth activities. Flocknote is used for signups and communication.
