St. Mark Catholic Church celebrates Mass in English and Spanish each week and on weekday mornings three days a week. The Saturday vigil and Sunday English Mass form the core of the weekend schedule, with a Spanish-language Mass also offered Sunday afternoon for the Hispanic Catholic community in Mayes County. Confessions are heard fifteen minutes before every Mass, making it easy to drop in.

History

St. Mark Parish in Pryor was founded in the mid-1950s as part of the Diocese of Tulsa's expansion across eastern Oklahoma. Its first pastor, Rev. Franklin Wrigley, was appointed by Bishop Victor Joseph Reed. The parish has since grown into a bilingual community, maintaining both English and Spanish weekend Masses, and continues to serve the rural Catholics of Mayes County more than six decades later.
