St. Luke Parish is a Roman Catholic community located just north of the Seattle city limits in Shoreline, Washington, serving more than 1,400 families. Founded in 1957, the parish is part of the Archdiocese of Seattle and operates St. Luke School, a Catholic International Baccalaureate (IB) World School on the same campus. In July 2024, Father Chad S. Green became Pastor and Father Aloysius G. Ssensamba (Fr. Luigi) joined as Parochial Vicar for both St. Luke and Christ the King under the Partners in the Gospel parish family model. The parish offers daily and weekend Masses in English, weekly Adoration, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, robust faith formation for children and youth, and outreach through St. Vincent de Paul and the Knights of Columbus.

History of St. Luke Parish and School
Established in 1957, St. Luke Parish and its school opened the same year. The Shoreline Historical Museum holds photos showing the 'St. Luke area before the church was built' (c. 1954) and First Holy Communions at St. Luke in the 1950s. The original complex was designed by the Seattle architectural firm Gotteland & Associates, a practice known for several modernist Catholic churches in the region. The school was originally staffed by three Edmond Dominican Sisters and one lay teacher with 125 students in grades 1–5; it now educates more than 430 students from Preschool through 8th Grade and is the first Catholic International Baccalaureate (IB) World School on the West Coast for both primary and middle grades. Father Brad Hagelin served as pastor from July 2013 to June 2024, and in July 2024 the Archdiocese's Partners in the Gospel initiative united St. Luke with Christ the King, Seattle as Parish Family 13 under a single pastor.

Faith Formation and Religious Education
Faith Formation at St. Luke serves children, youth, and adults. Sunday morning classes for elementary students run 10:05–11:00 AM, with First Reconciliation and First Communion preparation for 2nd graders beginning in late September. Older children (age 8+ who are unbaptized, or beyond 2nd grade without First Communion) follow a separate adapted path. Youth Confirmation is for 7th and 8th graders who have received First Sacraments; preparation begins in January with a Confirmation Mass in April or May. Adults seeking Confirmation join five Lenten sessions, and the parish RCIA team (coordinated by Lisa Walsh) walks catechumens and candidates through the initiation process.

Service, Outreach, and Respect Life
Outreach is a core part of parish identity. The St. Vincent de Paul Council meets on the 2nd and 4th Mondays at the parish center and conducts in-person home visits to needy Shoreline neighbors — the council describes itself as 'the only charity that conducts in-person home visits,' with two-person Vincentian teams providing assistance and connecting families to resources. Junior Vincentians help with Thanksgiving and Christmas gift/food baskets and stocking stuffers. The Respect Life Ministry supports life from conception to natural death through education, outreach, and prayer, advocating for children, the elderly, and all those vulnerable.

Knights of Columbus and Men's Group
St. Luke Council #14895 of the Knights of Columbus meets on the second Tuesday of each month in the Parish Center, with a 6:30 PM potluck social followed by a 7:00 PM business meeting. The council runs parish fundraisers including the annual St. Luke Fall Festival and a 40 Cans for Lent food drive benefiting the St. Vincent de Paul Boulevard Food Pantry. A Men's Group meets periodically on Friday mornings (e.g., 6:30–7:30 AM).

Partners in the Gospel and Parish Family
In 2024, the Archdiocese of Seattle's Partners in the Gospel strategic pastoral planning process placed St. Luke into Parish Family 13 with Christ the King, Seattle. The two parishes share one pastor, Rev. Chad S. Green, and a Parochial Vicar, Rev. Aloysius G. Ssensamba (Fr. Luigi), who serves both communities. Daily Mass and Spanish-language Mass schedules for the family are coordinated across both parish sites.
