Parish History & Growth
St. Luke Parish was established in Palm Springs in 1961 with the construction of the original church on South Congress Avenue. In 1991 a new, larger church building was erected and the 1961 structure was repurposed as a parish hall and school cafeteria. In April 2024 the parish began demolishing that 1961 building to clear the way for a $12 million, 27,000-square-foot parish/school expansion featuring a 450-seat gymnasium/parish hall, kitchen, cafeteria, and six classrooms. The parish raised $5.5 million toward the project, with the Diocese of Palm Beach lending the remaining $6.5 million.
