SS. Edward & Lucy Catholic Church is a vibrant Catholic community in Middlefield, Ohio, dedicated to teaching, proclaiming, and living the Gospel through the Eucharist, sacraments, and merciful service. The parish serves two churches: St. Edward in Parkman and St. Lucy in Middlefield, offering Mass, confession, adoration, and a variety of ministries. It is led by Pastor Fr. Jacob Bearer, who succeeded Pastor Emeritus Father John Burkley, and supported by staff including William Steigerwald and Cassie Steigerwald. Parish History
The parish was established to serve the growing Catholic community in the Middlefield area. Father John Burkley served as pastor from October 2001 until his retirement in July 2021. He was succeeded by Fr. Jacob Bearer, ordained in 2017 and assigned to SS. Edward & Lucy in 2023. Deacon Greg Frania, ordained in 2002, was the first deacon to serve at the parish and retired in 2017.

The parish offers a variety of ministries including Stewardship, Youth Ministry, Religious Education, and Eucharistic Adoration. Parishioners are encouraged to participate in these ministries to deepen their faith and serve the community.
