St. Louis Church was a beloved downtown Cincinnati Catholic parish located at 29 E. Eighth St. Its roots reach back to the late 1840s, and the present Florentine-style church was completed in 1928, with the first Mass celebrated on March 2, 1930. For generations it served downtown Catholics with daily Mass, confession, and parish life before the Archdiocese of Cincinnati closed the parish; the final Mass was held on December 31, 2020. The historic building was listed for sale in 2024, and many former parishioners have continued their worship at the nearby Cathedral Basilica of St. Peter in Chains.

History
St. Louis Parish began in the late 1840s with an earlier downtown church. The current building at 29 E. Eighth St. was completed in 1928 and hosted its first Mass on March 2, 1930, serving downtown Catholics for nearly a century.
Architecture
The 1928 church was built in a Florentine style and features vaulted ceilings and tall windows. The mixed-use structure also housed archdiocesan offices and apartments on its upper floors.
Closure and Future
The Archdiocese of Cincinnati closed St. Louis Church; the final Mass was December 31, 2020, and all services ended by summer 2021. The building was put on the market in 2024.
