The mission dates to 1950 and the church building was dedicated in 1952. For most of its history it was served as an out-mission of St. Patrick's Church in Truxton. In July 2018, as part of a diocesan-wide parish reconfiguration, oversight of the mission was transferred to St. Margaret's in Homer, where it continues to be served today.
