St. Jude Catholic Parish (also known as St. Jude's Catholic Church & Shrine) is a Roman Catholic parish in Marina, California, on the shore of Monterey Bay, within the Diocese of Monterey. Established in 1963 and named for St. Jude Thaddeus, the patron saint of hope in difficult times and of lost or desperate causes, the parish is a strikingly multilingual community: in addition to its English Sunday Masses, St. Jude celebrates a weekly Spanish Mass, a weekly Korean Mass, and a monthly Chaldean Mass (first Saturday of each month), reflecting the diverse population of the Monterey Peninsula. The parish offers daily Mass Monday through Friday, a Saturday Vigil Mass for youth, weekly Eucharistic Adoration with Vespers and Benediction on Wednesdays, and the Sacrament of Reconciliation during Adoration.

Pastoral History
The Diocese of Monterey 2020 Directory records a long succession of priests who have served St. Jude since its 1963 founding. The parish's first pastor was Rev. Jeremiah G. O'Sullivan (1963–1973), and since then fifteen priests have led the community, including members of religious orders such as the Redemptorists (C.SS.R.), the Missionaries of the Precious Blood (CPPS), and the Salesians (SDB). Rev. Paul R. Valdez, J.C.L., KCHS, served for twelve years from 2005 to 2017 and was followed by the current pastor, Rev. Jeronimo Marcelo, in 2018.

Faith Formation and Religious Education
St. Jude's faith-formation program serves Catholics of all ages — from cradle Catholics to those preparing to enter the Church. Programming includes Religious Education classes for grades 1 through 8, preparation for First Communion and Reconciliation, preparation for Confirmation, an active youth ministry, and the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) for those interested in becoming Catholic. Adult faith formation classes, small groups, and special events are offered for adults who want to grow in their faith. A small parish lending library is housed in the Kelly Conference Room and is available to all parishioners.

Multilingual Community: Korean, Spanish, and Chaldean Ministries
Reflecting the cultural diversity of the Monterey Peninsula, St. Jude maintains dedicated ministries in three languages in addition to English. A weekly Korean Mass is celebrated every Sunday at 4:00 PM, with Fr. Jaeyoung Ri serving as the Pastoral Korean Sacramental Minister. A weekly Spanish Mass is celebrated Sunday at 12:00 PM. The parish also hosts a Chaldean Mass on the first Saturday of each month at 6:30 PM, with Dcn. Kais Mikah serving as Chaldean Pastoral Minister — making St. Jude one of the few parishes in the region to offer Chaldean liturgy.

Sacraments
St. Jude prepares parishioners for and celebrates all seven Catholic sacraments. Sacramental preparation is offered for First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation, and the RCIA process welcomes adults into the Church through Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. Confession is heard during Wednesday Adoration (6:00–7:00 PM), and the Anointing of the Sick is available on request. Marriages and funerals are arranged through the parish office or its Virtual Office.
